SARAH & SEBASTIAN’s appreciation for craftsmanship is brought to life by our team of artisan jewellers, locally based in our Sydney studio.
Each artisan jeweller is chosen and valued for their specific skill set and encouraged to explore and develop their expertise. Due to the fine and intricate nature of our products, it can take up to several months for even an experienced jeweller to master our techniques and learn our unique approach to goldsmithing. We nurture our team, offering regular inhouse training for advanced skills such as stone setting and finishing methods.
We’re passionate about cultivating a diverse and equal workplace with all of our jewellers being paid the manufacturing award rate or above in line with Fair Work Australia’s standards. We invest in our working environment and use state of the art equipment to ensure a safe and healthy workplace. Our open-plan work environment promotes a collaborative space where knowledge and skills are shared for the common goal of constant growth and development.
As the brand grows, we are committed to keeping the majority of our manufacturing in Australia to foster local jobs and reduce our environmental impact. However, unfortunately manufacturing capacity in Australia can have its limitations and as a result some of our product is handcrafted in Italy by a one of the country’s leading fine jewellery makers. We regularly visit and check in with our Italian manufacturer to ensure our ethical standards are being met.
Cultivating local artisanal jobs, whilst passing down both ancient and innovative jewellery making techniques are the key instigators of our social responsibility.
