You have selected a 0.5ct brilliant cut champagne diamond with a yellow gold claw setting. Your ring is completed by a bold yellow gold knife edge band and will be finished with the SARAH & SEBASTIAN logo nestled into the inside of the band.
White diamonds are a traditional option that reflect our approach to engagement; minimal, classic, and timeless. Our white diamonds are hand selected to match our strong standards, with each stone meeting a high quality of brilliance, clarity and cut.
Our champagne diamonds are ethically and sustainably sourced from Australia’s renowned Argyle Mine. We are proud to celebrate a stone that shares the same heritage as our brand, and captures the natural hues and warm tones of the Australian landscape. Australian champagne diamonds are graded against the Argyle Colour Grading Scale, ranging from a light Beige (C1) to dark chocolate (C7) in colour. The colouring is 100% natural, providing each stone with a unique shade and increased rarity. Our C4 champagne diamonds have been carefully selected to complement the warm tones of yellow and rose gold, and cut specifically to maximize colour and brilliance.Tip: Not all colour/cut/carat combinations are available at any given time. As you make selections, you may find that changing one option will eliminate the colour/cut/carat you have previously chosen. If you need further clarity around diamond availability, contact us.
The most important characteristic of a diamond is its cut. This feature determines the overall brilliance of the stone and amplifies the diamond’s unique dispersion properties. The cut is measured through a diamond’s proportion, symmetry and polish, ranging from ‘Poor’ to ‘Excellent’. When light enters a diamond, an Ideal cut will refract the light back through the table (top) of the stone, producing brilliance and fire. Our priority is to offer a diamond that is well proportioned, aiming to feature an ‘Excellent’ cut grade.
Diamond colour is determined through the use of an alphabetical grading scale that ranges from D (colourless) through to Z (light colour). This grading system is used to grade all white diamonds, which contain varying degrees of natural colour. Our diamonds meet a G grade, which ensures our diamonds look transparent even within a white gold setting.

Clarity refers to the visual appearance of a diamond in relation to internal and external blemishes. As a diamond forms, minerals create small marks and imperfections, making each stone unique. These are called inclusions. It is rare to find a diamond free from inclusions, however, the type and positioning of these marks is what makes no two stones the same. The clarity scale ranges from IF (Internally Flawless) to I2-I3 (Included). The smaller the size and quantity of inclusions, the higher the clarity grade. At Sarah & Sebastian each stone is carefully scrutinised under magnification to meet our high selection criteria.
A carat refers to the total weight of a diamond; this translates into the diamond’s physical size. We offer four pre-selected diamonds through our Co-Create digital experience ranging from 0.5 carat through to 1.5 carat in the below shapes. The physical size and proportions of a diamond are also dependent on its cut. We also offer a bespoke service beyond these sizes; please contact us for more information.
The claw setting uses metal prongs to lift the stone off the ring band. Our solitaire setting features a classic 6 claw setting which keeps the diamond open and exposed to light from many angles. This showcases the diamonds natural brilliance.
The bezel setting secures the diamond completely along its circumference. This setting frames the stone and simplifies the silhouette of a solitaire ring. Our bezel settings feature open sides, which not only brightens the stone, but reflects the lightness of our rings.

White gold settings may be used on all band metal choices, though if choosing a yellow or rose gold setting, it must sit with the same band colour.
