REFUNDS AND EXCHANGES

SARAH & SEBASTIAN engagement rings and bespoke pieces are ineligible for returns, refunds or exchanges unless deemed faulty in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.


QUOTE

SARAH & SEBASTIAN offers up to two complimentary quotes for engagement rings. These quotes can feature up to three options each, depending on market Availability.

If further quotes are requested, a $1,000 non-refundable deposit is required to proceed, which is redeemable towards your final purchase. You will receive two more complimentary quotes from this point. Should you request more, there will be a fee of $250 per quote as an additional cost.

Please allow three to five business days during the non-peak period (January to October), and five to seven business days during the peak period (November to December), for quotes to be sent following your initial appointment and subsequent feedback. Note, champagne diamond sourcing and quoting may have a longer timeframe.


STONE SOURCING

Stones are not secured until a deposit is received and the order is placed by the SARAH & SEBASTIAN team. Stones can be purchased from our suppliers by another party at any time. Whilst unlikely, this scenario may occur due to the fast, fluctuating nature of the market.

Should a stone be quoted that is no longer available, SARAH & SEBASTIAN will provide an alternative option for the client to review. Please note that specifications will always vary as no two stones are identical. However, SARAH & SEBASTIAN will source the closest option based on availability.

Once a stone has been confirmed and secured, SARAH & SEBASTIAN is unable to exchange or refund the stone.


DEPOSIT

To proceed with a quote, SARAH & SEBASTIAN requests a 50 percent non-refundable deposit. This deposit confirms the commitment by the client to their chosen stone and ring style, enabling SARAH & SEBASTIAN to proceed with the purchase of the stone and start production on the piece.


PRODUCTION

The standard engagement ring production timeline is eight weeks. During the peak period (November to December), the engagement production timeline will be extended to ten weeks. This allows us to sustainably manage our in-house manufacturing team and ensure exceptional standards of craftsmanship and stringent quality control.

The production time-frame begins when the final design and stone(s) have been confirmed (including ring size) and when the 50 percent deposit has been paid. SARAH & SEBASTIAN reserves the right to change the production timelines at any time before any deposits are paid.

DIGITAL RENDER

One digital illustration service is available for a commitment deposit of $1,000, redeemable towards your final purchase. Please note that slight changes may occur during the development process and any changes to the original digital illustration will be made at the designer’s discretion to ensure the best design outcome. Subsequent digital renders will come at cost of $500 which is an additional fee to the price of your ring.


FINAL BALANCE PAYMENT

The remaining 50 percent balance payment is due once the engagement ring has been completed. Handover can only take place once the final balance has been Paid.


PAYMENT

Payments may be processed through SARAH & SEBASTIAN’s secure online payment portal, in-store, or through direct deposit to our business bank account. Payments may not be split.


ENGRAVING

SARAH & SEBASTIAN offers complimentary engraving to all engagement ring clients and the offer lasts for three years following the final payment. However, it is important to note that once your ring has been engraved, it cannot be resized. If the ring size is uncertain, please move forward without engraving, as this can be arranged at a later date once sizing is confirmed. Your SARAH & SEBASTIAN Consultant can provide advice on the fonts and symbols offered.


RESIZING

SARAH & SEBASTIAN recommend that you choose a ring size as close as possible to your partner’s size to avoid the need for resizing. If you are planning a surprise, please refer to our website for our ring size guide. If your partner is involved in the process, please contact us to receive a ring sizer or visit us in-store to be sized in person.

Should the ring require resizing, SARAH & SEBASTIAN are pleased to offer one complimentary resize within three years from the date of the final purchase.* Any further resizes past this timeframe will be quoted separately, starting from $800.


INSURANCE

If your engagement ring is lost, stolen or accidentally damaged, SARAH & SEBASTIAN offer one complimentary year of insurance with our partner Q Report, Australia’s leading provider of jewellery and engagement ring insurance. This will be arranged upon the finalisation of your ring. Towards the end of your first year, Q Report will be in touch directly to discuss extending the policy at your own cost. ENGAGEMENT RING WARRANTY

SARAH & SEBASTIAN offers a three-year manufacturing warranty on engagement rings. This covers manufacturing defaults, not general wear and tear in line with our warranty policy. Repairs for wear and tear are quoted separately.


WEDDING BANDS

All SARAH & SEBASTIAN wedding bands are designed to complement our engagement rings. Please consider your wedding band during the initial engagement process and appointment. Resetting your engagement ring following the completion will require an entire remake and is at the client’s cost.


AFTERCARE

SARAH & SEBASTIAN provide a complimentary cleaning service and setting examination, which is recommended twice a year as part of our lifelong service.

Please book your aftercare appointment online at the SARAH & SEBASTIAN store most convenient to you. Ring refurbishments can be processed through our Returns and Repairs Portal. This is at the cost of the client and is determined upon assessment by SARAH & SEBASTIAN jewellers.
