Reporting to an incoming CEO, the HR Business Partner is responsible for delivering people processes, programs and initiatives that are aligned with the SARAH & SEBASTIAN strategic objectives.

This is achieved by working closely with the senior leadership team to understand the business challenges and opportunities and the development, facilitation and/or delivery of key people related strategies to increase the effectiveness of individuals and teams.

The role will deliver value adding solutions across a range of HR areas including recruitment, talent and succession management, performance management, change management, capability development, strategic work force planning, employee engagement, employee relations and remuneration and benefits.

  • Provide strategic input (from business and HR experience) to the creation of the HR Operational Plan that supports business objectives
  • Champions and delivers HR programs and processes with the business in a manner that ensures strategic objectives are obtained
  • Work closely with all managers to provide generalist HR consultation and advice
  • Courageously challenge the business leaders to ensure a better outcome on people related matters
  • Provide coaching and support to the senior leaders to drive high performance that enables the delivery of superior performance
  • Facilitate the resolution of employee relations issues and conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations in partnership with management
  • Provide HR operational support to people leaders 
  • Manage the recruitment cycle with people leaders including active participation in advert writing, short listing, interviewing, offers and contract generation


    You have 7-10 years experience in progressive HR roles where you have made an impact through strategic HR programs.

    Being a stand-alone HR role, you are not afraid to dip into the detail of the operational HR aspects but can equally operate at a strategic level as you support the CEO and leadership team.

The two successful candidates will work closely with the Flagship Store Managers to drive sales, build client relationships and be a part of our exciting Engagement, Piercing & Soldered business.

                  • 3 years jewellery manufacture experience
                  • Understanding of high-volume jewellery manufacturing
                  • Preferable 2 years’ experience in stone setting
                  • Capable of managing your own workflow and deliver on expected deadlines.
                  • Willingness to share new jewellery manufacturing skills
                  • Work well in a fast-paced high-volume environment
                  • Attention to detail and the drive to manufacture high quality jewellery
                  • Must be motivated and punctual
                  • An understanding of SARAH & SEBASTIAN product and brand
                    This is a full time Jewellery Manufacturing position in our design studio and workshop in Alexandria, Sydney.
