Four years into our decade-long commitment, we are now two-thirds of the way toward our million-dollar pledge. Now, our focus shifts to collective action, channeling that momentum into initiatives that foster a deep, shared connection to our oceans.

Placing our team at the heart of ocean conservation through hands-on action.
Through the internal Aquatic Club, SARAH & SEBASTIAN team members participated in cleanups and restoration projects, supported by strategic product releases that celebrated marine life and raised funds for Xanthe Project partners.

Petition signatures for stronger nature laws.
To protect fragile marine ecosystems like Exmouth Gulf and the Great Southern Reef, SARAH & SEBASTIAN launched a public petition alongside our NOW YOU SEE ME film series. Gathering over 2,400 signatures, we delivered the petition directly to Federal Environment Minister Murray Watt, joining forces with the Australian Marine Conservation Society (AMCS). This movement helped drive historic reforms to the EPBC Act in November 2025, establishing an independent National EPA. Through the Xanthe Project, we continue to fund and support AMCS in securing stronger legal safeguards for our oceans.
"SARAH & SEBASTIAN’S passion and drive have far surpassed the bounds of traditional business support, earning them a place not just as partners, but as true advocates and co-campaigners in our mission to protect our oceans."
– PHILIP HARGRAVE-SMITH Philanthropy Development Manager, Australian Marine Conservation Society
From Exploration to Advocacy
Following an expedition to the remote waters of Scott Reef, SARAH & SEBASTIAN Creative Director Sarah Gittoes authored an open letter urging stronger policy protections for this vulnerable marine ecosystem. Featured in our Impact Report, this letter reflect our core mission through The Xanthe Project: translating firsthand ocean discovery and storytelling into urgent legal safeguards for Australia's wild reefs.
